Beverly Cahill Nelson - Founder and Executive Director, Carry Her Load and The Daughter Project • Shareholder, Waddell Serafino Geary Rechner Jenevein, P.C. • Founder and Creative Director, Beverly|Dallas
Licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, Beverly has developed extensive litigation experience in both federal and state courts in matters largely related to creditor/debtor disputes, financial services, and commercial litigation. She’s represented Fortune 100 companies sued for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Texas Debt Collection Practices Act, and the Texas Finance Code, along with violations of the bankruptcy discharge injunction. She has also represented multiple finance providers in actions to recover collateral in state and bankruptcy courts across the state of Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
In addition to her commercial clients, Beverly represents investors, landlords, tenants, and other real estate owners in a broad range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, financing, and leasing for retail, office, and industrial developments. Beverly also represents start-ups and mid-cap companies across all industries with respect to financing, general corporate matters, and other transactions.
Beverly takes great pride in serving her community through volunteer hours and gifts. She has served the Junior League of Dallas as a Board Member, as well as the 2014-2015 Ball Chair. She has also served on the Auxiliary Boards of Genesis Women’s Shelter and Community Partners of Dallas.
In 2017, Beverly launched Beverly|Dallas, a luxury made to measure career wear clothing company for women. Her mission is to change the way the world perceives a successful woman. The inaugural collection was unveiled in the fall of 2018.
Beverly is married to Kyle Nelson and has three children (Nicholas, Chloe and Ainsley), three stepsons (Conner, Christian and Cameron), three pups (Willie, Waylon, and Hank), a kitty (Bocelli), and a turtle (Charly Pride).
Bryan P. McNeal, Gunnery Sergeant USMC (Ret)- Board Member, Carry Her Load • Area Account Manager for Andrews Distributing Member with Metroplex Military Charitable Trust •Toys for Tots •Wounded Warriors •Semper Fi Fund
Bryan McNeal is currently an Area Account Manager for Andrews Distributing. Prior to working with Andrews Distributing in 2009, he served as US Marine. In addition to this he has worked with charity organizations to help various people, families and children in need. When Bryan left the Marine Corps he did a short stint with Combat Support Associates in the Middle East where he helped in security of Camp Arifjan.
During this time Bryan has also been apart of the charity group in Dallas that helps veterans and their families. What started as a conversation with one of Bryan’s accounts. Clint Barlow of Trees, Canton Hall and Bomb Factory and Bryan decided to start a concert in Dallas to help raise toys for kids. During this time Bryan has also helped MMCT raise money for veterans and the families of those that have been wounded or injured in combat while serving. Bryan helped organize in Bedford a Softball Tournament. Bryan has been featured with John Burk as the military member of the month in 2017 for his contributions to the community.
After the tragic incident struck Dallas in July of 2016 where 5 Police Officers gave their lives in the line of duty Bryan helped organize with the help of MMCT a donation weekend to give to the Assist the Officer Foundation. Moved yet still Bryan has since saluted every funeral procession and not breaking salute until the last car passes for police and firefighters that have given their lives in the Dallas area. Most recently Bryan stood salute for Officer Santander while his funeral went through Rockwall.
Being apart of the organization CARRY HER LOAD has a special place for Bryan. Bryan at one time was in an abusive relationship as a man. He takes it very personal to want to see those that are in a relationship where they are being abused and taken advantage of to get out safely. CARRY HER LOAD will offer both men and women the chance to get out and have a start they can depend on.
Terry D. Garrett - Board Member, Carry Her Load • Sheriff, Rockwall County, Texas
Terry Garrett is a household name in Rockwall County. He is homegrown and the perfect combination of personality, professionalism, and patriotism, which has contributed to his success in public service these last 40 years. He is married to the vivacious Shelley, has three children, and five grandchildren.
Sheriff Garrett began his 40-plus-year career in public safety in 1976, while still in high school, working as an ambulance attendant. He joined the Rockwall Volunteer Fire Department in 1978 while continuing to work as an EMT for American Air/Land Ambulance and as a dispatcher for the Rockwall Police Department.
For 26 years, Sheriff Garrett worked for and served the citizens of Rockwall as a patrol officer, initiated the department's crime prevention program, conducted juvenile investigations & public information duties, and was the lieutenant in charge of criminal investigations, records, evidence, training, and community service. During those years, he was also an active member of the Rockwall Volunteer Fire Department, serving as chief and training officer. He is a dive/recovery specialist with certification from the Underwater Institute/SWTSU/TSU
Sheriff Garrett was appointed Director of Public Safety for the City of Heath in 2006, where he served for 14 1/2 years as both police and fire chief.
Sheriff Garrett will now lead over one-hundred and thirty (130) sheriff’s office personnel and a two-hundred and forty-three (243) bed detention center with an expansion underway.
Chloe Rice - Founder, The Daughter Project • 11th Grade, Ursuline Academy
Chloe is in her happy place on the golf course. A competitive golfer on the Ursuline Academy Varsity Golf team, Chloe spends her afternoons and weekends chasing birdies. Outside of golf, Chloe loves studying French and mathematics. Chloe enjoys being part of the Carry Her Load mission to restore dignity to survivors, and wishes to build countless opportunities for girls her age to get involved.
Ainsley Rice - Founder, The Daughter Project • 8th Grade, St. Rita School
Ainsley is a lightning bolt on the soccer field. She is currently playing for the Sting Royal ECNL 2009 team in Dallas. Outside of soccer, Ainsley loves to participate in basketball and cheer. She is an animal lover, and plans to become a veterinarian one day, as well as a professional soccer player, fashion designer, and lawyer. Ainsley is so excited to play a big part in carrying the mission of The Daughter Project to friends everywhere.
